Large Format Assistant Account Manager

General Summary

As a Sales Representative (Large Format), you will spend a considerable time in the market cultivating and growing business in our Grocery store accounts by educating and building existing and new partnerships.  Executes the role in relief capacity to ensure service is consistently being provided to Hoffman Beverage accounts.

 

Education/Certification

  • High School Diploma or GED. College Preferred.

  • Valid VA Driver License, driving record must meet Hoffman Beverage standards.

 

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to operate efficiently under minimal supervision (self-managed role)

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • A willingness to be trained and follow procedures accurately

  • Excellent written expression, solid communication, and intermediate math skills required.

  • Must have computer experience that demonstrates competence with e-mail, Internet, and basic Microsoft programs.

 

Experience:

  • Previous sales experience preferred

  • Previous beverage experience preferred

 

Communication:

  • Understands and adheres to organizational and department policy and procedures

  • Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner at all times per the Company Values, Tap-In

  • Resolves conflicts respectfully and s timely manner, ask for assistance from appropriate supervisor/HR as needed

  • Maintains job-related confidentiality

  • Participates actively in department team and all-staff meetings

  • Communicates respectfully at all times

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

  • Operates with a sense of teamwork

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Day to day tasks including but not limited to:

  • Maximize sales and distribution of all HB package products in accounts.

  • Maintain the integrity of the shelf sets for all coolers and hot shelves.

  • Create accurate orders utilizing sales history and avoid out-of-stocks.

  • Ensure all orders are written and submitted by designated time.

  • Maintain proper rotation in accordance with HB policy and their suppliers.

  • Routinely communicate with drivers and warehouse to convey changes in daily routine.

  • Aggressively sell in and maintain displays.

  • Maintain proper POS in each account (i.e., case cards, MIR, IRC, shelf strips, and pricing info).

  • Communicate with store managers daily for sales opportunities.

  • Communicate daily and provide feedback to Team Leader about changes in accounts (i.e., new product of competition, pricing disparities, new managers, etc.).

  • Carry adequate supply of all sales tools needed (i.e., price cards, core buff, banners, and other related sales tools).

  • Responsible for updating and communicating account maintenance to Team Leader (i.e., closings, openings, changes of contact).

  • Daily completion of account calls per HB route itinerary.

  • Maintains the integrity of HB equipment (i.e., cleanliness of company vehicle and proper handling of ordering tools (computer).

  • Maintains a professional business appearance per company best practice

  • Performs other duties as directed.

Physical Requirements: This position requires exposure to inside and outside conditions, extreme cold and hot temperatures, with the following physical demands: bending, climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing, carrying, and lifting/moving up to 165 pounds.
